Founding fathers take over Fishing Creek
Patriotism is on fire at the Fishing Creek Playhouse and Dinner Theater, where the historical musical 1776 is playing through Aug. 15.
The Second Continental Congress isn’t quite convinced about this whole declaring independence from England thing, and it’s up to John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and their compatriots to make the case.
Spoiler alert: They sign the Declaration of Independence. (I know, shocking, right?)
Shows start at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, June 18-Aug. 14, at 2 p.m. Sundays, June 20-Aug. 15, and at 1 p.m. Wednesdays, July 14 and Aug. 4, and Tuesday, July 27.
The buffet opens two hours before showtimes.
Tickets, which are all-inclusive, are $49 for adults and $27 for children 12 and under. The American Legion will benefit from a portion of the proceeds.
