York County author Cerella Sechrist is celebrating the release of her debut novel, Love Finds You in Hershey, Pennsylvania, by storming the blogosphere and local bibliophile havens.
You can catch her for a free author chat at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, at the Kaltreider-Benfer Library, 147 S. Charles St., Red Lion.
If you miss her there, she’ll be at Borders Books, 3000 Whiteford Road, Springettsbury Township, at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 7.
Sechrist will be discussing her road to publication, from brainstorming to bookstores, as well as the Love Finds You fiction series from Summerside Press.
After the discussion, Sechrist will autograph copies of her book. Extra books will be available for purchase for guests without their own copy.
The story focuses on mom and restaurateur Sadie Spencer, who finds trouble everywhere she looks as she struggles to create the perfect dessert. (Psst: If you can’t guess from the title, there’s chocolate involved!)
In an interview with the blog Novel Journey, Sechrist comments on what Sadie has taught her:
Writing her story forced me to work through this issue in my own life – accepting my limitations and recognizing that what I can do doesn’t define who I am.
And, like all the trendy books these days, Love Finds You in Hershey, Pennsylvania has its own book trailer to whet your appetite. Bon appetit!
