Adam Lambert promises an ‘edge’ to AMA performance

In a story that moved earlier today, Adam Lambert told The Associated Press that his performance at Sunday’s American Music Awards (8 p.m. ABC) will have “an edge” to it.

Surprise, surprise, right?

Anyway, apparently Adam will be doing a sexed-up rendition of “For Your Entertainment,” the title track off his album that hits stores Tuesday.

The performance will be heavy on leather and chains and will include Adam dragging a woman across the stage, according to the Associated Press story.

“I can’t wait to see people I look up to as artists in the audience watching,” Adam told AP. “It will be really interesting to see what kind of reaction the number gets. It’s different. It really does have an edge to it.”

Of course, Adam won’t be the only Idol performing Sunday night. Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Daughtry will do so, too.

And let’s not forget Lady Gaga. If her AMA performance is anything like her “Bad Romance” video … well, viewers will be left scratching their heads.

I’ll be blogging live and posting photos during the show, so check back Sunday night.

Meanwhile, if you haven’t heard Adam’s album yet, here’s a link to a free listen.
